Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Pediatric Case Manager RN for an acute hospital position in Alaska requiring an active AK RN license, Epic proficiency, and a minimum of 2 years of experience.
Details
- Works in the Case Management unit of a 407-bed Magnet-designated, Level II Trauma, acute care hospital
- Pediatric patient population
- Day shift, 5x8-hour schedule with shift start times ranging from 0700–0830
- Every other weekend required, or 4 weekend days per 4-week schedule
- Floating required between all facilities within the state; refusal to float may result in assignment termination
- No on-call responsibilities
- Block scheduling is not available
- Charting system: Epic (required)
- Scrubs are provided by the facility
- Free on-site parking available
Requirements
- Active Alaska RN license currently in hand is required
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Pediatric nursing experience required
- Acute care hospital experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Accredited Case Manager (ACM) certification preferred
- At least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty or setting
- Full SSN and DOB required for consideration
- Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Former permanent employees of the facility must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler
- Local candidates are not accepted; candidate's permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility
- RTO is limited to one request of 5 days or fewer per 13-week assignment; no holiday RTO
